Well my ear infection is actually Shingles and it is so bad it has caused me to have Bells Palsy. So one side of my face is drooping and my mouth doesn't work real well.

All this the Palsy hit me today, and scared the crap outta me. When half your face doesn't move all of a sudden it really freaks you out.

I'm getting a bunch of prescriptions. It should take two weeks to clear up the shingles and 6 weeks to clear up the Palsy.

I have my best friend's wedding tomorrow and I can't wear any make-up or my contacts, and I have a droopy face.

What a crappy week this has been.

Here are a couple more pics from the when Mark and I went to that halloween party that I took with my camera. Mark went as Billy Mays.

And here you can see my make up better. I used a white eyeshadow and black liquid liner.

So I went to the doctor today for my ear infection, and Mark brought me flowers to help me feel better. He's so sweet! These tulips are so pretty, I can't wait till they open all the way.

And this is my ear.... it's all red and swollen. I have two antibiotics to take. One in pill form and one in drop form that I put in my ear. The doctor said I should be better in a week.

Ugh... I feel so odd saying this at the age of 28, but I have an ear ache. Seriously! Not fun, and really quite painful. It actually hurts to wear an earring. I have a doc appt tomorrow, so hopefully it's gone before the weekend. This coming weekend is the much anticipated Halloween Wedding of my best friend. So exciting! I still have to write my wedding toast.

This past weekend I went to Mark's neighbor's Halloween party. It was fun, and I went as a mime.

I also have been dealing with my my car. You remember a while back I had to get my wheel bearing replaced. Easy-peasy, buy new wheel bearing hub, take old one off and put new one on. It's really impossible to mess up. Well the new one I put on the car, went after 7 thousand miles. So now I have another new wheel bearing hub on the car, and it making the same noises the other made before it went. A squeaking noise that isn't always there....I'm waiting to hear the kerchunk of the wheel bearing going while I'm driving. So I am torn (ok, maybe not really), do I keep trying to figure out what the heck is going on with the wheel, or do I take my car to the nearest dealer and say, "just take it!" The car has 78000 miles on it, but the wheel issues never seem to stop. Everyone says, get rid of the car.... what do you think? I'm taking all input on this situation. I'm a year away from paying it off, and was really hoping to be able to pay it off and save some $$ for a new car. But with the seeming never ending wheel problems, it's impossible to save any money at all.

I have another book review for you! This one was turned into a movie, which I did not see. And after reading the book, I wonder of the movie will be just as interesting.

The book I read was The Ruins, by Scott Smith.

A group of friends take a long vacation in Mexico and decide to visit some old Mayan Ruins. Little did they know, what would happen.

I liked this book. Not just because I've been to Mexico and could picture a lot of the things that were described, but because it was written in a way that was very detailed and involved without making you skip ahead because you got bored.

Towards the end of this book I found it really hard to put down. I wanted to know if they made it out alive, or if they all met their end.

If you are interested in this book, I have it up in my Amazon.com store for sale. Also don't forget to check out what else I have listed there, you may see something you like.

As a special treat, here is the movie trailer for you! I still want to see the movie....

As promised, I have for you a picture of myself wearing the plum colored mascara. But before we get to that, I wanted to let you know, you have a few choices when it comes to colors and brands. Here we go!

Urban Decay, has 4 colors to choose from: Black cherry (deep burgundy), Electric Blue
(vibrant turquoise), Flipside (teal blue), Indigo (vibrant blue violet), and Purple Haze (dark purple).

My favorite mascara, Benefit's Bad Gal Lash hash two to choose from: BADgal Blue (deep blue violet), and 0.3 oz BADgal Plum.

Last but not least was the limited edition by Smashbox: Plum (muted eggplant), which is what I am wearing.

So I read The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, and this book is good. Not as good as The Da Vinci Code, or Angels and Demons, though. There were parts where I felt like I was waiting for the story to pick up the pace, and other parts where I could barely put the book down.

Dan Brown is an excellent author, but maybe he put too much pressure on himself to write this book. I mean, the last two books were turned into movies. If that doesn't make you put pressure on yourself that I don't know what will.

Overall, if you are a Dan Brown fan, and have read the 1st two books, then go ahead and pick this one up. It won't disappoint you, and it may even surprise you.

My brother took this picture of me the other night as we both sat at the kitchen table on our laptops.

His move is getting closer and he put together a little blog, to share all his adventures. He's just getting started, so there are only a couple posts. But check it out, you may see something interesting from time to time.

Here's the link: JT's Mexico Adventure!

So as you know my older brother is moving to Mexico. He was selling all his stuff in yard sales and will post some furniture to craigslist to sell that as well. But after this past weekend's yard sale, he had a few items left over. I picked up this really pretty blue pitcher. I'm gonna miss my brother when he moves, but it's nice I will have a couple items to remember him by.

Oh you know how I love to purchase different kinds of make up. Well I did recently and here is what I have to show you.

Recently on Sephora's blog they had a post about matte finish nail polish. I was pretty unsure about that, but took the plunge.

I like it. The finish is not like regular polish and I feel like it has a little something extra.

I also picked up a new mascara. It's by Smashbox and it's called Reign Lash DNA Mascara. It's a plum color..... and it's simply lovely. I mixed it with a little gold eye shadow the other day, and felt like it gave my eyes a little extra pop.

Try to get your hands on these limited edition items....they're not gonna be around forever.
