Oh wow, oh wow!! I got my first sale on my Amazon.com seller account! How exciting!!!!! The book that sold was The Prophecy of the Sisters, I blogged about it after I read it. What a good book that was.

I do have another book for you that I read. Mr. Darcy Vampyre!! It follows Elizabeth and Darcy after they get married. And it was quite an interesting read. I think you should pick this book up. It's entertaining, and very well written. Some spots seem a little drawn out, but a good read. Not as good as Pride and Prejudice and Zombies though.

So I got a new Butterfly while in Canada at the butterfly conservatory. I hung it up right next to the other one I got in Key West, FL.

There is a bit of a glare from the camera flash, but it's quite lovely.

Friday Peanut got his shots, he was totally awesome. He let them do everything. I even got him one extra vaccine that was being offered. A vaccine for the canine flu. It's a flu that is spread to other dogs, and is like our flu. But we can't get it. Outside my vet there have a huge Koi pond, with huge Koi Fish.

After that Mark and I grabbed some lunch and fed some geese!

My Niagara Falls pics will be up soon, but first I have to tell you about a book I just got done reading.

The book is Skylight Confessions, by Alice Hoffman. You may remember that I read another Alice Hoffman book recently titled, The Ice Queen.

I really liked this book. It was a great story. You followed the life of Arlyn, the daughter of a Ferry Boat Captain. Unlike the last book I read by Alice Hoffman, this one was not like the jumbled thoughts inside someone's head. It was a well thought out story, with a few unexpected twists.

Well last night was the Season Finale of True Blood on HBO. I thought the season finale was good. It sucks that now I have to wait for season three to see who kidnapped Bill. Was it Eric? He did tell the queen he would take care of Bill. Or will they stick to what happened in the book Club Dead?

Either way, I'm looking forward to the third season.

So the mole removal went well. I did not much care for getting stuck with a needle 3 times to numb the area where the mole was before the removal. Today it doesn't hurt as bad, but still hurts a little. Hopefully it was be all healed in a couple days. And in a couple weeks I should get test results back on the mole. The doctor was pretty sure it was nothing, but she didn't like the color or the shape, so suggested I get it removed and tested, just in case.

A few days ago I took this picture outside Mark's house at Sunset.

It was so pretty!

Ok, first I want to have a brief moment of silence for those who perished the the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Moving on..

I have a doctors appointment today to remove a mole from a very delicate area. I'm nervous, I'm not gonna lie. I just hope that it isn't too painful, and doesn't cause too much discomfort after.

I found this online via photobucket, it was too pretty not to post.

I have another book for you... this one took me by surprise.

Prophecy of the Sisters is the name of the book, and it's written by Michelle Zink. Wow, oh wow. It's the first book of three, of a trilogy. And it was really quite good, and quite an intriguing read.

Here is the paragraph off the inside sleeve:
Twin sisters, Lia and Alice Milthorpe have just become orphans. They have also become enemies. As they discover their roles in a prophecy that has turned generations of sisters against each other, the girls find themselves entangled in a mystery that involves a tattoo-like mark, their parents' death, a boy, a book, and a lifetime of secrets. Lia and Alice don't know whom they can trust. They just know they can't trust each other.

Intrigued? I knew you would be. I found myself captivated by the book, not wanting to put it down, wanting to know what happened next to Lia and Alice. And really, I was quite shocked at how the first book ended. Now I wonder when the next book will hit the shelves? I want to read more about Lia and Alice, and I am certain you will too.

Hope everyone had a spectacular Labor Day. Mine was full relaxation.

I tell you what though, I cannot wait for Sunday! Why? Because it's the Season Finale of True Blood.

While I will be sad that the season is over, I plan on purchasing Seasons 1 & 2 on DVD to watch when ever I get a craving for some TB. I'm evening going to go back and re-read Club Dead by Charlaine Harris, which is one of the Sookie Stackhouse novels. The third one to be exact. Season One of TB was the book, Dead until Dark. Season Two is Living Dead in Dallas. So it would make sense that the Third season is the third book. The books are a little different than the show, but that's ok.

Goodness, I haven't been this crazy about a show since I was a teenager watching Sea Quest. My first celebrity crush was Jonathan Brandis. And when I look back at that I laugh really hard. LOL. Though I have no celebrity crushes for any of the cast of True Blood.

So I have another book review for you. I picked up this book last weekend at Borders, it cost me a total of $7. I love the markdown area! But sadly not all markdown books are winners. This one was definitely NOT a winner.

I couldn't even get into this book. It's a spy book, but each chapter is about someone different character-wise. And there is no background on the character really, you are just put smack dab in the middle of something. At first I was hoping the chapters would reveal some sort of common trait or show somehow when all the dots would connect. But I had to put the book down. It was too random, I could not finish this book. My curiosity of how the dots would connect was not strong enough to see this through.

I really do not recommend that you pick up the book Spook Country by William Gibson, it's just too randomly written.

So there you have it. Another book, down and onto the next one.

My older brother forwarded this to me earlier. Too funny.

A lawyer boarded an airplane in New Orleans with a box of frozen crabs
and asked a blonde stewardess to take care of them for him.

She took the box and promised to put it in the crew's refrigerator. He
advised her that he was holding her personally responsible for them
staying frozen, mentioning in a very haughty manner that he was a
lawyer, and proceeded to rant at her about what would happen if she let
them thaw out. Needless to say, she was annoyed by his behavior.

Shortly before landing i n New York , she used the intercom to announce
to the entire cabin, "Would the gentleman who gave me the crabs in New Orleans , please raise your hand?"

Not one hand went up... so she took them home and ate them.

Two lessons here:

1. Lawyers aren't as smart as they think they are.
2. Blondes aren't as dumb as most folks think

BTW, today is his birthday. Happy Birthday Big Brother.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!! Pictures, Images and Photos

I'm feeling a little low in the self confidence department. I'm not sure if it's the full moon, the fact my current job and location are a dead end, or the fact that my "co-worker" is an ass, but I just feel really low. I'm trying to keep positive and so far this week I have sent out 3 resumes. I've said my prayers and will be as ruthless as can be when following up on the status of those resumes and the applied positions. But sometimes I start to wonder if I am on the right path. I spent over an hour crying the other day because I just don't know what to do or what I am doing wrong, if I am doing anything wrong.

Well, moving on.....

This past weekend, I went to by best friend's "Family Only" Wedding shower. It was ok. Here is a pic from the shower. It's her soon to be sister in law, Megan, Lucia, the bride, and myself. Please excuse the plate of food on my lap.
