Looks like something from a scary movie poster!

I just got done reading a book called, Creation in Death.  It was a predictable, futuristc, murder-mystery.

Even though they revealed early on the plot of the book, and where it was going, I still wanted to read what would happen.

I really enjoyed this book.  You follow Detective Eve Dallas as she looks for a serial killer from 9 years earlier, who now has his sights set on her.

I could see this book becoming a movie, I wonder if anyone thought of that?

True blood in my mailbox.....Thanks Rolling Stone.

It was quite an interesting article, as Anna Paquin, Stevn Moyor and Alexander Skarsgard, commented on what life was like before True Blood.  Anna was an Oscar Winner at 11, tired of being cast as the brooding smart chic roles, and tired of feeling like a gypsy.

Alexander Skarsgard was an accomplished child star back home in Sweden and gave up acting at 13, only to pick it back up and 20.  And of course we all know he played Lady GaGa's boyfriend in the music video for Paparazzi.  Alexander was also in Zoolander.  He joined Sweden's military service (which is mandatory) because he thought it would be interesting.

Steven Moyor says that when he met Anna Paquin on the True Blood set, after they weould talk for hours and after months they said, "hey, we've got something here."  Steven then broke things off with his girlfriend in London, and as of last weekend, Steven and Anna are married.

The article talks about the show in general, and the actors have their own opinions of their characters.  It was a good read.  Especially when they joked around about if the show did a national tour, Glee style.

Oh now this is pretty interesting.  I got an email from Target about an electronics recycling program.
nextworth
So I went to the site to see what it was all about.
Unfortunately the site was timing out, and I could not check and see how much I could get for my iPod.  I will check back later to see.  But if you want to check it out yourself, go to here.  Be sure to click the link at the bottom of the page to go to Nextworth’s Electronics trade-in program.

Update 08/23/10: So I went back to the site and checked to see what my 4gb iPod Nano (1st Generation) would be:  $16.50

You know, I'm pretty sure I could sell it on Craig's List for more, so I don't think I will recycle them.  Good concept though.  Thankfully though I really don't need a new iPod at the moment.

Just a few pics I took using the Vignette Demo photo app on my phone.  Out of all the photo apps I have downloaded and tested, this one is by far the best.

Recently I just finished reading the book, Peony in Love.  Yup, it's a love story..

Peony is the daughter of a wealthy family who's favorite opera is the Peony Pavillion.  She become lovesick after meeting a man, and dies before her wedding.  But that's not all.  She travels through time as a ghost and tries to help others so that she can finally make it to the afterlife, instead of wandering around as a hungry ghost.

I really liked this book.  I could tell the author spent a lot of time on details and descriptions, but not so much time on it that it distracted from the story.

I've been giving Peanut at-home hair cuts to save money. Groomers can be really expensive sometimes.

And, if this working in radio job doesn't work, I could always try dog grooming.

I just got done reading a very interesting book recently.  It was about Amelia Earhart and her trip across the Atlantic in the plane called The Friendship.

It was really interesting.  I read about how she got interested in flying and how she bought her own planes.  The book also included pictures of her, and exerpts from the journal she kept while along for the ride.

Well, the votes came in, and Peanut and I did not win a free portrait this time.  Maybe next time!

Thanks for voting though!

The rest of this post is for all the ladies out there........ and men who like to wear make up.

I took a trip to my local Sephora, after seeing this post on their blog!  I knew I could not resist an eyeshadow called Schnauzer, and after seeing it up close and personal, I definitely could not resist.  This little pot of color is vibrant, and stays put.  Even in water!

I picked up the color called Schnauzer.  I, of course, have a Schnauzer, so the idea of an eyeshadow named after my favorite dog breed made me a little excited.  It's a lovey royal purple color.  I have quite a few purples in collection of shadows, so what's one more?

Also, super thumbs up to the staff at the Annapolis Mall Sephora.  They hadn't put out the Buxom Shadows yet, but checked out the back to see if they had them.  Of course they did, and I really appreciate them taking the time to bring out the shadow for me.
