Over the weekend I got a letter from Apple in response to my letter to them. You may remember me posting about how I wrote a letter in this blog. Well, here is their response.

"Dear Ms. Gibbs,

Thank you for your recent correspondence to Apple. We appreciate your comments on Apple's selection of AT&T Inc. as the exclusive carrier for the iPhone in the United States.

As part of this multi-year partnership, Apple and AT&T Inc. are working together to provide innovative new features to mobile phone users, such as iPhone's pioneering and unique Visual Voicemail, a first on any mobile phone in the world.

AT&T Inc. is the larges test wireless carrier in the United States, serving 58.7 million customers. It also has the largest digital voice and data network in the nation, the Allover Network, and the largest mobile to mobile community of any national wireless carrier. In addition AT&T Inc. is a leader in third-generation wireless technology, featuring the first widely available HSDPA (high speed download packet access) service in the world.

iPod Touch is priced differently from the iPhone because a service contract with AT&T is not required to operate the product.

Apple is committed to providing a positive experience for our customers through the use of our hardware, software and Internet offerings. Feedback such as yours helps us determine areas of opportunity as we continue to grow our business.

Please be assured that Apple values the time and consideration that you invested in your letter. Thank you again for taking the time to write.

Sincerely,

Matt
Apple Customer Care"

I'm not sure what to think on this, other than Matt tried to sell me on how great AT&T is.

I got the same idea you did after reading that letter. They got sucked in with AT&T and now they have to promote both as great products.

I really dislike AT&T! I think they could have chosen a better company to go with.

I hope that someone from Apple or AT&T reads this because, obviously I am not alone in my dislike of AT&T.
