I went to cut up the sweet potatoes in my pantry for some treats for Peanut... little did I know they decided to sprout on me.  They kind of look like Aliens!

Speaking of Peanut, I have entered him in a contest.  If he wins I get a *FREE* pet portrait painted of him.  It's called the Mo or Go Contest and it's held by the artist at www.mypawportrait.com.  Basically if you want to see Mo, you vote Mo.  If you don't like, you say Go.

VOTE FOR PEANUT!!!

Also, voting ends July 31st!  You can only vote once, and you can vote on as many dogs as you want.  If Peanut wins, I get a free pet portrait of him.  The artist is pretty cool, so be sure to check out her website.

So I have this little qr code I made.  I actually went to a website that generated it for me.  If you have an iphone or android phone, you can download an app that will scan this and tell you what it says.

So the looney toon I work with watered down the soap in he bathroom. He added so much water, the soap doesn't lather. So I picked up a small thing of hand soap at the dollar store, and put a seperate hand soap in the bathroom. Because, I actually like soap that lathers. I sent this picture to a  friend showing him this hilarious label on the watered down mixture. His response, "Maybe it should say antibacterial lite."

Today I went to pick up the new plates for my car.  I was expecting the plain white tags with Maryland at the top, but no.  Apparently there are new tags until June 2010, and they just started sending them out, I believe, June 14th.

This is just a sample image I found online, but I think they look kind of pretty.  The general consensus of people don't like them at all.

I love to read.  I read books all the time.  I usually go to Borders Books and peruse the markdown section for cheap books to read.  But sometimes I run out of books before I can get to Borders to pick up a few new ones.  So now, I can get the Kindle app for my phone for free.  Woooo Hooo!

I may have to do a little hunting to find free books, but I think it may be worth it.

So I just got done reading, Murder on the Ghost Walk. Murder on the Ghost Walk  It was pretty interesting.  It was a ghost story with a mystery.  The main character, Ashley Wilkes, is remodeling a house for a client.  They knock out the kitchen wall and find two skeletons, but who are the two skeletons and how did they get in the wall?  What I liked about the book is that there didn't seem to be a dull moment.  There was always something going, including another murder, or two.

Mom had found this book in a box of books she got from her friend Wilma.  Wilma donates used books to, I believe, a charity that sends them to Soldiers over in Iraq.  Usually she goes through all the books she collects and sends my mom ones she thinks mom will like.  When mom is done reading them, mom sends them back to Wilma.  Occasionally I donate some of the books I get on markdown, and sometimes I donate some of the books I get to the library.

Like most people I am curious as to where the oil in the gulf is going. What beaches has it touched, and how is it affecting the wildlife?  Well, if you have an android phone (or even possibly an iphone), you may be able to find an app to show what residents of the gulf are seeing.  The app I downloaded to my HTC Hero is SpillMap.  It allows people to post pictures of what they are seeing.  I think it's pretty cool, because being in Maryland, I feel like we don't always see the full picture.  Course it sucks at the same time, too.

Also there is a 10 year old girl trying to raise $100,000 to help with the gulf coast, you check out that story here.
