I had recently asked my aunt to make a new bed cover for Peanut. She has had two strokes recently and I was unsure about her willingness to sew, or if in fact she could still sew.  But she said she would, and I set off to the fabric store that was going out of business to look for some fabric.  I was unsuccessful, but mom went and brought home this blue fleece.  I guess it would do, though I really wanted something with paw prints.  So we sent the fabric on down to my aunt, and this past weekend she brought up the new cover.

Peanut was excited and as you can see from the picture above, he really likes his new cover.

I have been so M.I.A. recently.

1. I have been engrossed in a book I'm reading, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It reads like Pride and Prejudice, but has zombies which makes it more entertaining. I'm about 3/4 of the way through.

2. I have one thing to say: If you are going to put out bad ju ju, eat poorly 24/7, and never exercise, be prepared for Karma to bite you in the ass. That is what happened to my co-worker. He is in the hospital with a foot problem (I think it might be gout), high blood pressure, pancreatis, and kidney stones. Work has been crazy this week! I'm not compalining though.

I shot this short clip with my new camera, I call it busy bee.

Oi…. I have been pretty busy. My best friend put myself and her other best friend in charge of planning and hosting her wedding shower. She said she wanted a big shower with everyone, family and friends. Janelle and I totally agreed and since she is the bride, it’s pretty much whatever she wants. I mean she is getting married in two and a half months, now is not the time to be a jerk. Her family on the other hand sees that differently. As soon as Janelle and I got a date straightened out with Momma Dot, all hell broke loose. All of a sudden, her sisters gang up on Janelle and I with there own agenda of planning.

They claim there will be too many people there, and that we should just host a “friends only” party. Which is bull, because the only people who are invited are those who are attending the wedding. Which at most, if everyone made it, would be 50 people. The part that irritates me the most about this is that her family has not for one second taken into consideration what Lucia, the bride, wants. Not at all. They could care less what she wants, and what makes her happy. It also really makes me sad because I know it upsets Lucia that her family are acting like such huge jerks, and not listening to her about her wedding and wedding shower wants/details.

Now I have to be really, super composed and tell her mom, “fine we will have a separate party.” I would much prefer to tell her sisters and mom to stop being so damn selfish, and how rude they are being, but I won’t.

Janelle and I have to now figure out how to plan a bachelorette and wedding shower all in one. We have no idea what we are going to do……

Moving on….

Here is a picture I took of Mister Peanut today. I think I will try and submit it to a publication of some sort..

But that’s not the cool part. I discovered something really cool about my new camera. Depending on how you hold the camera while reviewing pictures, it rotates them automatically. Watch…

I know.. it's not the best clip, but you get the idea.

Well I did it. I bought a new camera yesterday. I got the Canon Powershot sd780 is, in red. I really like it. It has a lot of features that may come in handy, such as blink detection, and it shoots HD video. The picture is so clear and crisp, well it should be it’s a 12 megapixel camera.

Here is the one of the first pictures I took with the camera.

One other thing I like about the camera is that the charger doesn’t have any wires. You take out the battery, place it in it’s thing and plug it into an outlet. So convenient!

I can’t wait to take more pictures. Yay!!

This past Friday was girl's night at Cindy's. It was fun. We drank some mojitos and just caught up on everything.

Myself and Lucia.

This were the only pictures that turned out. My camera was kind of refusing to focus.... I think it may be time to buy a new camera.

I still want this one.

Stop the presses! Hell has frozen over!!! Here is my younger brother working out in the yard.

Mark was by the other day to start work on the wall he said he would build for my mom.

Step 1. Cut grass out of ground with shovel so that when it comes time to dig trench, you can move quicker. Mark told Ernie to get to work... he actually did it. Well some of it.. he stopped after and hour. I don't think he get very far, and he complained the whole time.

The military would have been great for him. Too bad he got kicked out of the Navy.

Peanut loves to agitate Bob the bulldog. Bob can see through a hole in the fence that Peanut is there, and barks. So what does Peanut do? He just stands there, taunting Bob.

Sometimes Peanut is too funny!

I took advantage of an online sale and bought some new clothes. Here is what I bought:

An animal print halter top for summer. So pretty.

A black and gray beaded top.

A pair of black cropped cargo pants. I needed a pair because my others kind of got worn out.

And a pair of cropped linen pants.

I need flexability in my clothes, and I think these will definitely help with that.

I can't wait till these items arrive.

My older brother brought by some lovely Sunflowers on the 4th of July to brighten up the back porch.

So pretty!

I was eating a peach and went to try and pull the pit out, when it opened up. I had no idea that the peach pit was not the actual seed, but that it housed the seed. Anyway, I think I will hold onto the seed and maybe I can plant it to see if it grows.

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th! Mine was good. It was filled with good food, family and fireworks. Sunday came really qickly and before I knew it, it was time to get up for work. On my drive in I was able to see one very lovely sunrise.

Sometimes you buy a something and you really like it. That what happened with this tank top of mine. The downside for me though was the irritation factor of the sequins and beads. So I got the idea to remove them.

The removal was a success and I must say I like this tank top way more without the sequins and beads!
