After spring... comes summer!

I think I am more ready for summer than I am spring!

Moving on, the butter cookie quest continues!

This was the recipe I used:

1 Cup of Butter
3/4 Cup of Sugar
1 Egg
1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
2 1/2 cups of flower

preheat oven to 400

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, blend in well. Blend in flour. Chill dough for 45 minutes. Roll dough to a 1/4 inch thick and use cookie cutters to make cookies. ( I did not do this, I used a cookie press.) Bale for 5 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet. Cool cookie sheet between batches.

Ok.... here are some pics...

Mmmm.... cookie dough.

Cookies made from cookie press!

End result! Good yet very flat cookies....with crispy edges. Hmmmmm....... Wonder what I messed up on this time. At least these ones are edible.

Hey Gerri,

Well Mom said "at least these are edible" and Dad said nothing. I took some to Mark and he said they were perfect, only next time add chocolate chips. Ha ha... At least Mark liked my cookies.
