Another day, another no. I received an email this AM from NPR (
National Public Radio), and sadly the position I applied for, I was turned down for. They didn't even bring me in for an interview! If they had brought me in for an interview I'm sure I could have won them over and had a new job. I feel just looking at some one's resume should not be what does them justice, you definitely meet with them, and get a feel for who they are. It gets very frustrating for me, I apply and get No's. At least their no was polite, much like VOA (
Voice of America). But a lot of places don't inform me of the no, they just let me sit and wonder. I have two other applications out there circulating and when I get a free moment here at work I will most definitely search some more... Right now I have two other applications out. One at
CBS Radio, and one at
Radio-One, so all hope is not lost. It's just reduced by one.
In other news, I received the most wonderful award from
The Wandering Writer and Her Dog for my blog. I just want to say thank you and I hope I have 7 people to give this to... This award really helped put a smile on my face, and today I needed it.

So I would look at it this way: Do you really want to work for a place that doesn't do all of the interviews? I mean...not for nothing, but... I'm hoping you get the CBS job, personally.

Just remember the best is yet to come, and also the best is always saved for last, so keep this in mind and never ever give up! Always claim what you want, claim the job you want every single day, say it aloud and I grant you will get it!
p.s. I do this with shoes and it really works!
