So while I am at the beach, sunning myself and just relaxing I thought I would share with you a little book review. Book reviews, I figure, are someone's opinion of a book they read. So here goes!

I recently read The Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman. Here is the paragraph off the back of the book:

A woman who leads a quiet life, keeping other people at a distance one day utters an idle wish to be struck by lightning-and her wish is granted. Instead of killing her, this cataclysmic event marks a strangeand powerful new beginning as the woman soon finds herself drawn into a passionate relationship with another survivor of a ligthning strike, a mysterious stranger who harbors dark secrets. Their affair becomes the center of a riveting story of loss, love, and redemption, a novel that reveals Alice Hoffman at the very height of her powers.

So here is what I thought of the book. It was a good book. I found myself wondering what would happen next when I had to stop reading. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the sentances were written like someone's erratic thought process, and I had to read them twice to fully understand them. I guess that some people like that, because it's like you are in the character's head. But I felt it was a bit confusing.
