Remember me telling you about my aunt who made Peanut the cover for his bed? Well Mom let me know that she now has been diagnosed with dementia. The good news is that mental illness doesn't run in out family, but the bad news was that it was brought on by the two strokes she had.

But I wanted to share with you another item she made. When I was little, she made me this doll. I loved it. Back when I got Peanut in 2005, when he was a raging maniac of a puppy, he got a hold of her and ripped her face up. Well I told my aunt and she asked me to send the doll to her and she would try to fix it. The doll was so old, she couldn't repair her, but she did make me a whole new doll.

I now keep her up high, so that nothing happens to her.

WOW! She's BEAUTIFUL !!!
Marie, this doll is a heirloom for sure. I am sad to hear about your Aunt's dementia because that is such a devastating disease, I know because my Uncle's wife had it and it was horrible, however it did run in her family because her Mom and both brothers had it! It's scary to know that strokes can bring it on, but it makes sense!

Thanks Gerri. I know the doctors have given her some medicine for it and I hope it helps.
